We set sail from Agia Kyriaki to Folegandros. We anchor on this nearby little isle and you can see Karavostasi, a safe natural harbor surrounded by reddish rocks. Chora, one of the most scenic Cyclades village is only 3klms away. Chora is comprised of two settlements, the Medieval, built inside the Venetian castle and the modern one, outside the castle walls. Access is prohibited to all motor vehicles, so it’s easy to stroll the lanes and wander around admiring its traditional architecture.
Next stop is Agali, a little seaside village in the south of Chora. Agali with the sandy wide beach is considered the most beautiful on the island. Take a swim here enjoying the blue crystal-clear waters.
We continue our trip to Sikinos. This small island in the Cyclades wins over its visitors with its authenticity. Ideal for quiet vacations since it still preserves a traditional low touristy profile. Swimming in the wonderful beaches, strolling its traditional village and tasting fresh fish will make your day worth the visit.
We continue our course to the isle of Polyaigos (Poly-aigos, meaning “a lot of goats”) or Ipolivos. It is a small uninhabited place used as grazing land as its name reveals. However, there are two pristine beaches, the beach of Panagia and Faros that worth a dive.
Our last stop is Kimolos, an unexplored paradise in the northwest of the Cyclades. A small island of incredible natural beauties that you can’t miss. Psathi, the port, is the most-densely populated settlement. Chorio, located on the southeast side and only a km away from the port, is the capital of the island. It consists of two settlements, the Inner Castle and the Outer Castle. Kimolos has beautiful beaches with thin sand, pebbles and rocky shores and they all compose a unique puzzle.
After scenic Kimolos, we travel back to Agia Kyriaki and awesome Milos to finish this private sailing holiday on INDIGO. We hope that your recent experience filled you with a compilation of beautiful images, colours, smells and Aegean memories!
